New Zealand’s economy, reputation, exports and trade agreements are dependent on the quality, and the reliability of the quality, of our products.
Products affected:
Issues with food safety are likely to be significant for many of our primary products, particularly the edible ones but even those that are worn eg wool products.
Regulations and safety criteria dictate such things as:
- use of
pesticides, insecticides, vaccines and drenches
- withholding
periods
- pest
and disease inspection
